Along with minor spoilers. Early and ill-informed reactions: I'm not that crazy about the kid-focused plot, but at least the alien plan sounds suitably sinister. (If reminiscent of the Sycorax's blood-control plot in "The Christmas Invasion.") I like the sexy spy who goes after Torchwood, and I'm glad they included a frame of Jack and Ianto snogging. Talk about a gutsy move, Sci Fi Channel announced the two hour pilot for the Galactica spin-off series, Caprica, will debut on DVD on April 21st in a limited edition, uncut and unrated version. Just wow. They must be very confident the show is good, or else they risk negative word of mouth destroying the show before it's broadcast premier in 2010.
Film.com has an interesting list of the best SF shows for non-SF fans. LOST makes the list as does the overlooked Journeyman and several others. In this case, non-SF fans means those who have issues with outer space based SF, which is a shame really. ...

Monday see's the return of Doctor Who Spin Off, Torchwood. Captain Jack and Gwen Cooper are back on our screens for a brand new series of the show, and whats better than that? The show will now be screened on BBC One for UK viewers, about time in my opnion. The first show is on Monday 6th July at 9pm, and then everyday at 9pm for the whole week ahead. This is great news for all us Torchwood fans, a whole new series in 1 week. Nothing has yet been said about series 4, with John Barrowman on this weeks Radio 2 Show Steve Wright in the afternoon, but with no mention of the series after this one.
