Looking Forward to AMC’s The Prisoner
SciFiChick.com —
AMC is developing The Prisoner miniseries, a reinterpretation of the British 60’s cult series. The Prisoner stars Sir Ian McKellen and Jim Caviezel. The Premise (from AMC): A man, known as “Six,” finds himself inexplicably trapped in “The Village” with no memory of how he arrived. As he explores his environment, he discovers that his fellow inhabitants are identified by number instead of name, have no memory of any prior existence, and are under constant surveillance. Not knowing whom to trust, Six is driven by the need to discover the truth behind The Village, the reason for his being there, and most importantly — how he can ...

– Jeffrey R. Smith commenting on his co-stars in The Prisoner.
Based on the cult series of the sixties, AMC’s The Prisoner is about a man, known as “Six,” (James Caviezel) who finds himself inexplicably trapped in “The Village” with no memory of how he arrived. As he explores his environment, he discovers that his fellow inhabitants are identified by number instead of name, have no memory of any prior existence, and are under constant surveillance. A Sneak Peek Of The Prisoner Remake
Big Dumb Object —
Here's a cheesey promo video for the completely pointless The Prisoner remake. Lots of cringey statements by the actors, like "we have a chance at greatness" or some other such twoddle. The only good thing appears to be Sir Ian McKellan. But still. Why bother? The original The Prisoner was genius, flawed may be, but still genius. Please write new stories for new TV shows...

Behind the scenes on The Prisoner

[image] Above: Jamie Campbell-Bower as the intriguingly named 11-12 (what could that mean? Does he get promoted/demoted?) Here’s an advance teaser for the new US miniseries remake of The Prisoner starring Jim Caviezel as Number Six and Ian McKellen as Number Two. We’re a bit bizarred out by the idea that a Namibian desert is the perfect location for the Village, but the tantalising glimpse of the sets seems to suggest a bit of ’60s retro chic. It certainly looks like a complete re-invention, though, rather than a simple remake.

Behind The Scenes And Interview Video From The Prisoner
SciFiCool.com | No Anal Probing Involved —
the-prisoner-1 Among the multitude of highly forthcoming and possibly interesting, Sci-Fi series coming this fall, is my highly anticipated favorite, AMC’s “The Prisoner” starring Ian McKellen and Jim Caviezel. Coming down sometime in Nov, “The Prisoner” is primed to delight, frustrate and likely confuse you. To help you prepare for the fateful day of airing, I have a few behind the scenes and Comic-Con panel videos that you might not have had the privilege to view. A little prep is always a good thing. There’s a ton of other material on the excellent AMC website . Do Not be afraid. Dig in and see what you can find.
