Majel Barrett Roddenberry, actress and wife of Star Trek creator Eugene Roddeberry, passed away today. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081218/people_nm/us_roddenberry It will be eerie to hear her voice in the new Star Trek movie as the voice of the ship’s computer again. I’m sure I’ll tear up. Being a child of The Next Generation era, I remember her best as Lwaxana Troi and the amazing job she did as such an eccentric character. She will be dearly missed. Someone has already created a nice video tribute to her on YouTube:
