... . Doctor Who Creator Refused To Work on Star Wars Here's a funny interview. The Doctor Who guy Russell Davies said he's done with sci-fi stuff, but he was offered a writer job on the live-action Star Wars series. Davies responded, "But Iâm not going to do a sci-fi series thatâs second-rate compared to Doctor Who ." Ouch. How's that feel? Not too good.

Scottish Doctor Who actor David Tennant and Welsh Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies have both been recently interviewed by The Sunday Times regarding the upcoming departure of both from Doctor Who. Both Russell T Davies and David Tennant confirmed last year that they will depart from Doctor Who at the end of 2009. David Tennant and Russell T Davies will be replaced in Series Five with British actor Matthew Smith and Scottish writer Steven Moffat. In the interview David Tennant and Russell T Davies discuss the reasons for leaving Doctor Who and placing it in such capable hands for 2010 with Steven Moffat and Matthew Smith.
