Reviewing the Mail: Week of 10/10, Part Two: Everything Else
See the earlier post this morning for all of the weekly introductory fluff; this post contains thoughts and notes on the review books I received last week that aren't being published by Yen Press. And so I'll dive right in: There's a new edition of Fritz Leiber's great seminal urban fantasy ...

Books Received
Spiral Galaxy Reviewing Laboratory — FTC or no FTC, it's probably a good idea to post 'books received' anyway. I definitely appreciate that Andrew Wheeler and SFSignal do it, and given that I'm not writing as much as I'd like, this seems like an appropriate way to send the authors/publishers some love. So here's the list for this week: We've got two Glen Cook books here. antickmusings.blogspot.com 9/15/2009 — In case you've missed this before: every Monday morning, I post a list (with comments) of the books I saw for review the previous week. Since even a minor blogger like me can get a dozen or more books a week, and I can't read a dozen books a week, ...

Reviewing the Mail: Week of 1/3
antickmusings.blogspot.com 1/5/2009 — As expected, the mail was light this week -- actually, I was surprised to get anything , with most of publishing taking off for Christmas week and the mails being slow. But I did get a small handful of things, and this is what they were: Shambling ...
Reviewing The Mail: Week of 3/21
antickmusings.blogspot.com 3/24/2009 — Last week I was rambling about the ebb and flow of review copies, and this week helps to prove my point: it's almost entirely comics/manga, led by the big monthly box from Yen Press. As usual, I post these lists on Monday mornings because I know I ...

Reviewing The Reviewing, by James Lovegrove
sciencefictionandfantasyenthusiasts.com 6/18/2009 — I’m going to be perfectly honest with you here. Well, OK, not perfectly honest. This may be nonfiction but I reserve the right to invent, embellish, obfuscate and downright lie if I want to, so long as it serves my argument. That’s my prerogative as a ...
