SF Signal — ... late 2009 or 2010, so I'm not really selecting works with the recession in mind. (God forbid we should still be in it then!). So I don't see how it's going to be any harder for a new author to break in than it ever is. The best thing a publisher can do is to put out the highest quality reading experience they possibly can - but we'd be doing that anyway!
