The New York Times has posted a couple of new images from James Cameron's upcoming SF epic Avatar as part of its story about 3-D filmmaking, including this one, featuring the director himself on the film's set.
Not sure what we're looking at, though: A pod for remote viewing? A stasis chamber for long-range space travel? A tanning bed of the future?
Avatar opens Dec. 19.
