NBC has given a green light to a post-apocalyptic drama pilot titled Day One , from Heroes writer Jesse Alexander, Variety reported.
The hour-long show takes place following a catastrophic global event that destroys the world's infrastructure. The action centers on a small group of survivors.
Universal Media Studios is behind Day One . Alexander's credits include Alias and Lost .
