Several genre stars and filmmakers were honored at ShoWest 2009 in Las Vegas as movie-theater operators capped their week, including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay and Star Trek 's new James Kirk, actor Chris Pine, according to The Hollywood Reporter .
The Thursday-night awards gala recognized the female cast of Summit Entertainment's upcoming Sorority Row with the rising-talent award.
The Dark Knight 's Michael Caine , meanwhile, was honored with a lifetime achievement award, and Bay copped a Vanguard Award for excellence in filmmaking. Pine got an accolade as male star of tomorrow.
